If you are planning to pop the question tomorrow or this weekend in honor of Valentine's Day, take a look at these stats from David’s Bridal’s “What’s On Brides’ Minds Survey” … before people pop the question!
More than half of brides (57%) would change something about their engagement ring if they could, with the biggest gripe being wanting a bigger stone (19%).
Despite this, only 36% actually would go through with upgrading!
Grooms need to keep their proposals more personal … bucking the seemingly popular trend of over the top, You Tube-friendly proposals, most brides actually prefer something much more low key
80% would scoff at a public Facebook proposal
63% wouldn’t say yes to their beau proposing on a Jumbotron
57% of brides would say no to the ever-popular flash mob proposal!
With Valentine’s Day being proposal central, it’s interesting to know that nearly a third of newlyweds actually embellish their engagement story to make it sound better. So, choose wisely when proposing guys!
Thanks to David's Bridal for sharing these stats with us!

The Postal Service reissued the Wedding Cake stamp today in a 66-cent version to accommodate the 1-cent price change that goes into effect Jan. 27.
Available in panes of 20, customers may purchase the stamps at usps.com/stamps, by phone at 800-STAMP24 and at Post Offices nationwide.
The stamp was dedicated in Louisville during the American Philatelic Society’s AmeriStamp Expo at the Kentucky International Convention Center.
The Wedding Cake stamp, introduced in 2009 and sold at the two-ounce price, accommodates the heavier weight of an invitation, as well as other mailings such as oversize cards or small gifts that require extra postage. The stamp art features a photograph taken by Renée Comet of Washington, DC, of a three-tier wedding cake topped with white flowers. The cake was created and designed by pastry chef Peter Brett of Washington, DC. Art director Ethel Kessler of Bethesda, MD, designed the stamp.
Tomorrow is 12/12/12 and it is the last of the popular consecutive date sequences, like 10/10/10 and 11/11/11, to come around for the next 1,000 years! Recently I received a sample of Loo~Pourri, a preemptive bathroom spray made with Grapefruit & Vetiver Natural Essential Oils creates a barrier to potential bathroom odor. The blend of Essential Oils creates a protective film on the surface of the water effectively eliminating any odor before it even begins. It really does smell very nice and the bottle is pretty enough to leave out. I am using it in my guest bathroom in my house.
I have been to plenty wedding venues that did not have any type of spray or scent for the bathrooms and I think this would be an elegant touch to any wedding or event...
What happens when Jersey Shore meets Say Yes to the Dress? On Thursday, November 15 at 10 PM ET/PT, TLC will premiere two, back-to-back specials of JERSEY BRIDES.
Go bling or go home – that’s the mantra for the typical Jersey bride in this Paramus boutique. Sisters Joyce and Julie Jou, owners of Bijou Bridal, must face these demanding, over-the-top brides as they search for the perfect wedding dress. White, lacey and sophisticated just doesn’t cut it – these brides want to be bedazzled and the center of all attention. Rhinestones, glitter, huge skirts and rolls of taffeta are the only things that can please these large-than-life ladies as they stick to tradition and never settle for being anything less than happy and fabulous on their big days.
